The Limpopo Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure a Government Department responsible for the Provincial Government Building and Roads Infrastructure, Land and Expanded Public Works programme.
As a major Public Sector Stakeholder in the build environment, the Department also aides in the building of a pool of skilled personnel for the construction industry in the province by providing opportunities to tertiary level students who intend to pursue studies within the build environment.
For the 2018 academic year, the Department wishes to invite applications from South African citizens, residing in the Limpopo Province and across all race groups with emphasis on previously disadvantaged groups and people with disabilities interested ¡n studying the following fields:♦ Quantity Surveying ♦ Building Engineering / Science ♦ Architectural Science ♦ Construction Management ♦ Mechanical Engineering ♦ Electrical Engineering ♦ Town and Regional Planning ♦ Civil Engineering ♦ Landscaping / Horticulture ♦ Information Communication Technology / Information Science ♦ Asset Management ♦ Financial Management / Auditing / Risk Management ♦ Property and Facility Management / Real Estate ♦ Human Resource Management ♦ Communications / Journalism / Media Studies
The bursary will cover: ♦ Registration ♦ Accommodation at the University and /or accredited University student residences ♦ Tuition ♦ Prescribed books ♦ Meals at the University
Requirements
Application forms can also be collected at the Provincial Public Works Office and / or its District Offices, and be returned with the following accompanying documents: ♦ Valid South African Identity Document (certified copy) ♦ Proof of residence ♦ Parents / guardian proof of Income / Affidavit if not working or without parents ♦ Acceptance letter from any SAQA-registered tertiary institution in South Africa for the Course applied for (this can be submitted later than the application on receipt of such letter) ♦ Matric results (this can be submitted later than the application on receipt of such letter).
