ABOUT THE BURSAR

The Homoeopathic Association of South Africa (HSA) is the official representative for the South African Homoeopathic Profession.

The HSA Bursary fund was initiated to help financially assist students from disadvantaged backgrounds, as well those who excel academically, with their studies within the Homoeopathy field.

ABOUT THE BURSARY

Bursaries will be awarded to students studying towards homoeopathic degree programs at the University of Johannesburg or Durban University of Technology.

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:

  • South African citizen/ permanent resident,
  • Currently in Matric or have completed Matric,
  • Currently studying or have been accepted to study towards a homoeopathic degree,
  • Currently studying or have been accepted to study at one of the aforementioned tertiary institutions: UJ or DUT,
  • Preference will be given to learners from a disadvantaged background.

Please include the following items in your application pack:

  • ID document (certified copy),
  • Colour photo (passport size),
  • Matric certificate OR Matric June results if currently in Matric (certified copy),
  • Full Curriculum Vitae,
  • Any relevant course/ programme/ degree certificates (certified copies),
  • Academic record to date (certified copy),
  • Motivational letter (explaining your current financial situation and why need the bursary),
  • Proof of acceptance by tertiary institution (certified copy),
  • Proof of your income, if applicable (latest payslips) (certified copies),
  • Parents/ guardians proof of income (latest payslips if employed, latest financial statements if self-employed, sworn affidavits if unemployed, death certificate if deceased) (certified copies).
