Namibian College of Open Learning Application Form 2024-2025

NAMCOL provides study opportunities for adults and out-of-school youth. The College`s core activity has traditionally been its programme of Secondary Education (SE), which enables those who cannot or do not wish to attend formal schools to study for the Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate (NSSC or Grade 12). Since 2004 Tertiary Programmes were introduced for students who wish to pursue studies after Grade 12.

.These are distance education study programmes, and students are supported through contact sessions. Orientation workshops will be conducted at the beginning of each term. During these workshops, students will receive their study materials as well as the course outline for that specific term or year. Contact sessions through vacation workshops will be held during the course of the year.

NAMCOL offers the following Technical, Vocational Education and Training Programmes:

  • Automotive Mechanics
  • Plumbing and Pipefitting
  • Welding and Metal Fabrication
  • Office Administration
The ultimate aim of these programmes is to alleviate the high unemployment rate in the country. As employment opportunities in the formal sector shrink, the acquisition of business management and entrepreneurial skills for self-employment becomes crucial. The development of entrepreneurial skills for self-employment will be part of these programmes.

  • Auto Mechanic, Duration: 1 Month
  • Plumbing and Pipe Fitting, Duration: 1 Month
  • Welding, Duration: 1 Month
