Introduction
The Bachelor of Science in Public Health (Honours) to be offered by the new School of Public Health in the Faculty of Health Sciences consists of taught courses and practicals at NQF Level 8. The minimum duration of the programme is 4 Years of full-time study and is only based at the Oshakati Campus.
Admission Criteria
The prospective candidate must:
- Have obtained a minimum of 25 points in his/her five (5) best) subjects
- Hold a valid Namibian Senior Secondary Certificate (NSSC) (Ordinary or Higher) or a recognized equivalent qualification
- Have obtained a minimum C symbol in English if it was taken as a second language at NSSC (O level) or a minimum D symbol in English if it was taken as a first language at NSSC (O level)
- In addition to the above, admission to the Bachelor of Science in Public Health (Honours) course requires at least: a C symbol in Mathematics; a C symbol in Biology and a C symbol in Physical Sciences, all on the NSSC (or equivalent)
