SAIRR Bursaries 2024-2025

SAIRR’s bursary program can be dated as far back as 1935.  Students like Nelson Mandela gained bursaries through them and all bursary candidates from the late 1940 have served South Africa well in all fields and have only been a proud part of South African heritage.  From 1980, more than 3657 students have received bursaries and graduated in fields like Science & Engineering, Business & Commerce, Medicine, Health Science & Dentistry, Education, Law and also Arts to name but the most prominent.  In 2010, thirty candidates graduated in that year alone.  High percentages of bursaries are awarded to black South African’s and the company has spent more than R221 Million on bursaries.

SAIRR invites candidates to apply for bursaries every year whether you are a Grade 12 student or already learning at an accredited higher learning institute in South Africa.  Candidates studying at any University, The University of Technology or one of the accredited Colleges throughout South Africa are free to apply in any field of study.  They prefer the Engineering fields and preference will be given to previously disadvantage South African candidates.
