NUST Faculty of Human Sciences
The faculty of Human Sciences offers different areas of specialisations as well as different exit levels. The Department of Communication aims at equipping students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in communication management and administration. The Department of Social Sciences fosters an understanding of professional policing, law enforcement and correctional management taking into consideration best international practices. The Department of Education and Languages has two sections: Education and Languages. The Education Section offers qualifications that provide opportunities to individuals with industrial experience who wish to make a career change or develop a career in Vocational Education and Training. In-service individuals can also advance their training and management skills in a professional career oriented manner. In addition to the English Communication courses offered for formal qualifications, non-formal language proficiency courses in e.g. Afrikaans, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Oshikwanyama, Oshindonga, Otjherero are offered.
