Greetings from the Namibia University of Science and Technology and from the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering. It is the department that meets the technological needs of Namibia, and aims to gain a foothold in the Region and on the international scene through teaching, research and service.

Despite its small size relative to others outside Namibia, the Department has a proud record and its graduates are in great demand in Namibia and are accepted for further studies in Universities and other organisations around the world. The fees of the NUST are favourable especially for those that wish to join the Department from outside Namibia. The Department currently offers National Diploma, BTech and BEng degrees in Electrical Power and Electronics. Topics covered include Microcontrollers, Renewable Energy, Communications Systems, and Power Systems. There are plans for post-graduate in both Power and Electronics fields.

Our Academic Staff are all well qualified in the relevant areas; most have industrial experience gained abroad and in Namibia’s top organisations including those in telecommunications, railways, and computers in both private and public sectors.
