Department of Employment and Labour Graduate Internship Programme
Location: Northern Cape
The Department of Employment and Labour, Kimberly Provincial Office, is inviting qualifying applicants to apply for their Graduate Internship programme for the Financial year 2024-2025. This programme aims to provide work exposure to graduates in their respective fields of study. The applicants must be unemployed at the Public Service, have never participated in any Internship programme, and must be between the ages of 18-35.
Available Position: Intern: Psychometrist / Registered Counsellor (x7 positions)
Requirements:
- BPsych or Honours in Psychology.
- Registration with the HPCSA as a Psychometrist or Registered Counsellor.
Duties:
- Provide and implement employment counselling services.
- Develop employment counselling services materials and conduct research.
- Provide and implement psychometric assessment and selection services.
Application Notes:
- Applications must be submitted using the new form Z83, which is obtainable from any Public Service Department or online at www.gov.za/documents.
- Ensure the application form is fully completed, signed, and initialled by the applicant. Failure to sign the form may lead to disqualification.
- A comprehensive CV, copies of all qualification academic transcripts (including Senior Certificate), ID document, and Driver’s license (where applicable) should accompany the fully completed form Z83.
- Non-RSA Citizens/Permanent Resident Permit Holders must attach a copy of their Permanent Residence Permits to their applications.
- Foreign qualifications should be accompanied by an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA).
- The Department does not accept applications via email or fax.
- Correspondence will be limited to short-listed candidates only. If you haven’t been contacted within eight (8) weeks after the closing date, consider your application unsuccessful.
- Shortlisted candidates will undergo a personnel suitability check, including criminal record, citizenship, credit record checks, qualification verification, and employment verification.
