University of Namibia Northern Campus
Formerly known as the Northern Campus, Oshakati Campus is the oldest satellite campus of the University of Namibia, inaugurated on 7 May 1998 by His Excellency, Dr Sam S. Nujoma, the Founding President of the Republic of Namibia and UNAM founding Chancellor.
The Campus is strategically located in the town centre’s Eliander Mwatale Street, off the Main road C46, next to the Oshakati Independence Stadium. We are within a walking distance to the Oshakati State Hospital, Hotels, and Restaurants as well as to the major Shopping Malls in Oshakati. This location makes the campus less of an ivory tower and its facilities more accessible to the communities that we serve.
The Campus currently hosts the Office of the Director – Centre for External Studies, Office of the Deputy Associate Dean – School of Nursing, Office of the Deputy UNAM Librarian, Office of Assistant Director: Estates North, and many other offices of various divisions of UNAM.
