Du Bois-Mandela-Rodney Fellowship
Du Bois-Mandela-Rodney Fellowship: The Center for Afroamerican and African Studies (CAAS) at the University of Michigan invites applications for the Du Bois-Mandela-Rodney Post-doctoral Fellowship Program from scholars working on Africa or the African diaspora.
Consideration will be given to all disciplines including – but not limited to – the humanities, social sciences, physical sciences and professional schools.
The fellowship package is worth $45,000 plus health insurance coverage.
Included in the package is a stipend of $42,000. Health insurance, plus $1,000 for research and up to $2,000 for travel expenses are also included.
Successful candidates can expect to maintain affiliations with Center for Afroamerican and African Studies (CAAS) as well as departments and research institutes that relate to their projects.
Fellows will be expected to conduct a Center for Afroamerican and African Studies (CAAS) work-in-progress seminar on their research during one of the semesters in residence.
