The National Department of Health is offering a Graduate Internship Programme aimed at providing practical work experience to unemployed graduates in various occupational fields. The programme spans 24 months and seeks to enhance the employability of young graduates while promoting equity and diversity in the workforce. Program Details:
- Duration: 24 months
- Stipend: R6,174.96 per month
- Age Requirement: 18-35 years

- Human Resources Management and Development Internship
- Requirements: Diploma / Degree (NQF 6) in Human Resources Management / Development / Management of Training or Public Management.
- Organisational Development Internship
- Requirements: Diploma / Degree (NQF 6) in Management Services or Operations Management and Production Management.
- Financial Management and Accounting Internship
- Requirements: Diploma / Degree (NQF 6) in Financial Management / Accounting.
- Supply Chain Management Internship
- Requirements: Diploma / Degree (NQF 6) in Supply Chain Management / Logistics / Public Management / Purchasing / Transport Management.
- Internal Audit Internship
- Requirements: Diploma / Degree (NQF 6) in Internal Auditing / Risk Management.
- Information Communication and Technology Internship
- Requirements: Diploma / Degree (NQF 6) in Computer Science / Information Technology.
- Communication Internship
- Requirements: Diploma / Degree (NQF 6) in Journalism / Marketing and communication / Communication.
- Legal Services Internship
- Requirements: Degree (NQF level 7) in Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
Application Process:
- Submit a Z83 form obtainable from any Public Service Department.
- Attach a CV.
- Attach copies of qualification certificates (including Senior Certificate / Grade 12 certificate), ID, and driver’s license (if applicable).
- Ensure compliance with application requirements; applications not meeting these will not be considered.
- Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA).
- Successful candidates will undergo personnel suitability checks and vetting procedures.
