Requirements: Ampath is offering an internship opportunity for candidates who meet the following requirements:
- HPCSA registration in a relevant register and practice field (required).
- National Diploma in Medical Technology or enrollment in Bachelor of Health Science Medical Laboratory Science (required).
Required Experience: Candidates should have:
- 5 months of work-integrated learning in a training lab.
- Knowledge of HPCSA regulations.
- Knowledge of the Meditech system.
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA).
Key Responsibilities: As a Laboratory Technologist Intern at Ampath, your responsibilities will include:
- Examining microscopies on various specimens to ensure correct interpretation of patient results.
- Interpreting cultures to ensure accurate and timely delivery of results.
- Maintaining good client relations to promote Ampath’s image.
- Performing general tasks to uphold best practice within the laboratory.
