ABOUT THE BURSAR

Oasis Group Holdings (Pty) Limited are an innovative investment management firm, providing wealth management solutions to their clients and specialising in fund administration and investment management.

Oasis are offering bursary awards to bright young students whose career path falls within their line of business.

ABOUT THE BURSARY

Bursaries will be awarded to students pursuing the following qualifications (more detail can be found on the application form below):

  • BSc (specialising in: Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Marketing, Law, Organisational Psychology)
  • BSc (specialising in: Business Computing, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics)
  • BComm (specialising in: Economics, Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Management Studies, Information Systems, Computer Science, Law, Statistics)
  • BEng (specialising in: Civil, Mechatronics)
  • BSc Honours (specialising in: Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Materials Science, Property Studies, Geographical Information Systems)
  • Masters degree (specialising in: Property Studies, Architecture, Project Management)
  • Law degrees and diplomas

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:

  • South African citizen,
  • Studying or intending on studying in one of the aforementioned fields of study.

 

HOW TO APPLY

Download and complete the Oasis Bursary Application Form (pdf)

Alternatively, the latest application form can be downloaded from: http://www.oasis.co.za/ under the “Careers” and “Bursary” tab.

The following documents must accompany the complete application form:

  • ID document (certified copy),
  • Colour photo (passport size) to be attached to the top right corner of the first page,
  • Full academic portfolio (from Grade 10 to present) (certified copy),
  • Matric results certificate, if completed Grade 12 (certified copy),
  • Acceptance letter to study at a recognised tertiary institution,
  • Tax invoice of tertiary fees (from the tertiary institution),
  • Medical certificate (for applicants that have any chronic illnesses or disabilities) (certified copy),
  • Proof of household income and dependants (certified copy),
  • Budget/ breakdown of monthly income & expenses,
  • 2 x testimonials (one from your school principal and one from a community leader),
  • Motivational letter explaining your working experience, leadership roles and why you should be awarded the bursary (to be written by the applicant – full page, typed and signed),
  • Optional: a recommendation letter by your parent/ guardian.

*If applicants are unable to submit a supporting document, they must provide an explanation as to why they cannot provide it. They must also state when the outstanding documents will be submitted.
