African Hospitality and Tourism Vocational Training Centre is equipped with a Reception Area, Guest Front Desk, Assessment Material Storeroom, Classrooms, ICT Lab, Resources Centre, Practical Kitchen, Bar Facility, Laundry Services, Conference Hall, Restaurant, Storerooms, Guests and Students Ablution Facilities, Boardroom, Staff Offices, Garden, Car Park etc.

TECHNICAL VOCATIONAL EDUCATION TRAINING (TVET) NQF (Level 1-4)
Entry Requirements: Grade 9 or 3 years working experience in Hospitality and Tourism Industry.

AIM OF QUALIFICATIONS
To develop in student’s skills and attitudes and to enable them to work efficiently in the Hospitality and Tourism industry and for self-employment. These qualifications provide students an introductory overview on the hospitality and tourism industry. Classes include practical lessons, discussions, expositions, and lodging establishment’s attachment. Students are also introduced to the administrative aspects of hospitality and tourism industry.
OBJECTIVES OF THE QUALIFICATIONS
- To impart in depth knowledge on the technical skills in various aspects in core areas of Hospitality and Tourism Industry.
- To inculcate in the students, both ethics and adequate work habits in a team.
- To provide an employment potential in Hospitality and Tourism industry or self-employment.
SKILLS TO BE PROVIDED
This course is designed to provide TECHNICAL SKILLS to the students, which will enable them to become an Entrepreneur or work in any of the major Departments of a Hospitality and Tourism establishment. Hence, emphasis is given more on Practical to achieve these skills. Experiential learning is of paramount component of the course as it enables students to integrate both practical and theoretical skills
